With coarse wavelength division multiplexing (CWDM), fiber optic networks can be expanded without adding more fiber. Multiplexers and demultiplexers play a key role in CWDM systems. It is usually used to increase the fiber cable's capacity by transmitting multiple wavelengths over one fiber, usually up to 18 different signals. Step A: Mount the rack-mount chassis in a 19-inch cabinet or rack.
Step B: Position the single-fiber CWDM Mux Demux on chassis shelf, gently pushing it into the cavity.
Step C: Plug it into the switch. And also, connect these CWDM transceivers to the corresponding ports and wavelengths of the TX and RX, with single-mode patch cable.
