The Aruba AP-655 is a new generation 4x4 MIMO wireless access point. It supports the latest 802.11ax standards. It's designed for indoor use and thus comes with internal antenna models. It supports tri-radio 2.4GHz, 5GHz, and 6GHz for better coverage. Up to 1024 clients can be supported in most high-density environments.

Its main process is to connect wireless devices to a wired network using radio frequencies. The built-in antenna in the device emits radio waves. The radio waves carry the data from the wired network to the wireless devices. This helps to communicate with each other wirelessly.

WIFI 6E

- The 655 series are fully equipped 6 GHz band Flagships and include the latest 802.11ax technology. These next-generation access points deliver 7.8 Gbps with 4x4 MU-MIMO and OFDMA. They can handle more devices and traffic with faster performance, wider channels, and minimal interference.

- These indoor APs come with Tri-radios such as 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz, and 6 GHz. The four spatial streams from this access point can achieve up to 4.8 Gbps for 6 GHz,2.4Gbps for 5Ghz ,1147Mbps for 2.4GHz.

- For downlink and uplink, both 6GHz and 5GHz support MU-MIMO, but 2.4 GHz only supports downlink. Each radio can have up to 1,024 associated client devices (a maximum of 2,048 for all three radios together), and 16 BSSIDs (a maximum of four on the 6GHz radio).

 

ANTENNA:

- The device comes with a built-in antenna for horizontal ceiling mount. The 4x4 MIMO antenna is Omni-directional that offers a peak gain of 4.6dBi in 2.4GHz, 5.2dBi in 5GHz, and 5.4dBi in 6GHz with a downtilt angle up to 30 to 40 degrees.

OTHER INTERFACES:

RJ-45 Port (Ethernet)

- It comes along with 2 Ethernet wired network ports (RJ-45). These ports support Auto-sensing link speed and MDI/MDX. The data transfer rates of 2.5Gbps and 5Gbps comply with NBase-T and 802.3bz standards.

- POE-PD is used to provide 48Vdc (nominal) and 802.3af/at/bt POE (class 3 or higher). Along with these, the access points also support 802.3az Energy Efficient Ethernet (EEE) and link aggregation (LACP) to provide redundancy and increased capacity.

USB 2.0 :- The latest USB 2.0 standard is capable of sourcing up to 1A / 5W to an attached device. The connector is a standard Type A found on most computers.


IOT :- These APs have both Zigbee and Bluetooth radios. Zigbee radio is used for the mesh network. It radio has a transmit power of up to 6dBm and a receive sensitivity of -97dBm (250kbps). 

- Bluetooth radio is used for beaconing, device discovery, and configuration. It has a transmit power of up to 6dBm and a receive sensitivity of -101dBm (125kbps). 

- This antenna has a 30 to 40-degree downtilt and a peak gain of 3.5dBi. It is possible to run multiple radios in the 2.4GHz band concurrently through Advanced IOT Coexistence (AIC)

 

SECURITY:

As electronic devices become smaller and more portable, the need for enhanced security features has become increasingly important. It is used to store cryptographic keys, digital certificates, and other data. This chip is designed to provide a higher level of security with software-based security solutions.

The TPM chip is tamper-resistant and provides a number of security features, including the ability to resist attacks, detect tampering, and prevent the use of counterfeit components. The TPM chip is also used to store cryptographic keys that are used to encrypt and decrypt data.

Reliability:

MTBF( Mean Time Between Failure) of an access point is a measure of how long the device will operate without failing. It is 461khrs (53yrs) at +25C operating temperature. This helps to operate for 53 years without failing.




Other features: Some features like an automatic thermal shutdown and recovery function are included to help keep things running smoothly with a Kensington security slot to help deter theft. Additionally, there's a serial console interface (proprietary, micro-B USB physical jack) to manage the device.

 Visual Indicator: It is a key part that helps users understand the status of the system and radio. There are four multi-color LEDs on the Visual Indicator. Each Color represents a different status of the Access Point. 

Reset Button: This helps with its factory default settings. The reset button is also used to turn the power on and off, as well as to change the LED mode from Normal to Off.

 

NEEDS: In order to connect this wireless access point to the network, you will need a minimal operating system and software versions ArubaOS and Aruba InstantOS 8.10.0.1. This can be done through the web-based interface or the command-line interface.

Returns 
Our policy lasts 7 days. If 7 days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately we can’t offer you a refund or exchange.

Return Shipping
